We’re already seeing very positive reviews for the label’s latest release. Sean McCauley of Sonic Smash-Music describes Neon Eyes as “eclectic, colorful electro-pop”, having a “gorgeous, ambient feel”, and “ingenious songwriting”!
That’s right, everyone’s favorite psych-rockers have been invited to showcase their sound at this year’s South By Southwest (SXSW 2013) in Austin, Texas. Help them pull some funds together to make the trip. Here’s a heart-warming video with more details.
That’s right, kids! Saturday, February 23, Revenge Piñata will release their sophomore album, Neon Eyes. The ten-song album was engineered and co-produced by Chris Schmidt, with Piñata’s own Nick Mitchell. The group has posted a couple of the new tracks on their website, http://www.revengepinata.com. Joining the party will be local friends Black Pharaoh, SHADOWRAPTR, and Sometimes. The show is free so come on down. Neon Eyes will be available here at grasshopperjuice.com on the day of the party.
Two of Grasshopper Juice’s finest recording artists are teaming up on an event at Stanley’s Pub, Friday, January 25! Be part of the action, as skateboarding legend (and YouTube sensation) Andy Schrock will be shooting footage of The B.E.A.T. for their upcoming music video.

Our biggest annual event is right around the corner!
Grasshopper Juice Records and Far.I.Rome Productions have collaborated on the 7th Annual AYE Music & Art Festival. Over 30 artists will take part in this year’s fest, taking place at downtown’s Mainstay Rock Bar on Friday, June 29, and Saturday, June 30. BUNK News’ art installations will set the tone for the weekend that includes Lemon Sky, Sassy Molasses, Majestic Man, our Marburg Collective friends SHADOWRAPTR, Gorges, and Meth Girlfriend, as well as Grasshopper Juice alumni The Harlequins and newcomers Revenge Pinata.
The show is 21+ and admission is $7 (that’s less than $.50 per artist). Music starts promptly at 7pm!
